I am not vegetarian, I'm not vegan. What I feel is surely an overweight Midwesterner who was raised thinking Velveeta was cheese, and buttered breads was a suitable vegetable for your dinner. I've recently been trying to get more at ease with adding more healthy grains, more vegetables and more fruits to my diet, and this guide has really helped myself in that respect.

Jones's writing and beautiful pictures (she's Jaime Oliver's food stylist, so the pictures here are practically pornographic) make fruits and vegetables seem to be like haute dishes, and yet there aren't crazy " gourmet" instructions. None of the tested recipes I've tried so significantly took more than 20 minutes and two pans to cook. Win-win in my book. This guide has really motivated me to try a lot of different foods I would have been afraid to try during the past, and almost all of them simply make enough for two people. This means that if I don't like it, I haven't put in a small fortune on " weird" ingredients only to discover that I'm just not into it.

Possibly useful information for people:
* She isn't preachy about vegetarianism, veganism, etc . She won't make you feel bad if you like to chow down on meats (or dairy). The lady really just seems to want to inspire individuals to love their fruits and veggies.
* The lady includes directions on making the recipes appropriate for you if you are vegan, and gluten-free if you have celiac's.
* She really does include alternatives for some of the stranger ingredients if you aren't feeling extremely brave. Some of the ingredients never have been at my local supermarket, but I've yet to operate into anything that wasn't on Amazon Prime. Most of it hasn't even recently been that expensive, surprisingly.
* The chapters are set up moving from easy to more complicated, which is awesome. No one wants to do the super fancy their first time using fancy components. Get started on the straightforward ones trying new components, then move on., Have tried a number of the recipes in the book to date. Each one I make all of us say this is a owner. It seems that each one that I make for the family is better than the previous one. An amazing thing about these tested recipes is that it causes no heartburn in my wife who has suffered from chronic, severe acid reflux for years. These tested recipes are great and I am thrilled that my wife's heartburn is under control. It just shows that eatong a complete food, plant based diet really does wonders for your body., A Contemporary way to eat is a wonderful cookbook. It is for people like me that like to cook and still want to be creative inside our vegetarian cooking and this is when Anna's tested recipes excel. Her recipes work. Her flavors are bold. Her introductions to the woman recipes are colorful and I love all the private stories. Instead of making mac and cheese, even a healthier version that uses butternut squash, you will find her Mac pc and greens a healthy satisfying replacement. If you want to move towards cooking more healthy tasty food Anna's book will get you there., Great tested recipes, all very satisfying. Nothing too difficult in the book. Each recipe has a story above it, making this an enjoyable read. There are also parts on cooking and using different ingredients that will help you become an improved cook., Every single menu I've made from this book has been amazing!!! I purchased four more of these cookbooks to provide as gifts!!!, Very good at giving you the knowledge of what foods work with certain spices and sauces. This offers me many creative alternate choices when preparing a meal with the options I have available in my cupboard.
