I actually enjoyed learning about gut bacteria and how it can effect different things in your body. Considering that I started eating these dishes I have lost weight, been sleeping better and feeling more energetic. Most of the recipes are super easy to make and they taste delicious! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to learn how to enjoy healthier., I was super excited for this book! I loved that it tells you EXACTLY what to enjoy DAILY! That has a weekly grocery list and tells you just what to buy including volumes, breakfast/lunch/dinner/snack recipes... very easy... BUT the weekly food list is extremely long and difficult to find at one store, which was disappointing. The writer explained that the initial week's list would be long bc I had generally nothing to start with.. hence I was ok with that, but after doing the first week I actually looked at the checklist for the 2nd and 3rd weeks and just felt let down, lied to, and discouraged. Those lists sensed even longer bc there were NEW things to buy that were not on the week prior, including new pantry favorites... and of course I had formed to replenish what I actually had used the week before so it felt like I was starting once more... and it became too costly. As well as the recipes do take longer than the prep/cook time classified by the book... example: breakfast is quinoa almond flour muffin - 10 min prepare, 25 min cook... but one of the ingredients is " cooked quinoa. " Now I do not have cooked quinoa just laying around, it required me another 15 a few minutes to make that... etc etc. So if you have time, money, determination then this is surely an amazing starter., This is amazing book that explains in very simple teams the value of gut health. That explains about the value of prebiotics in our diet and probiotics in our diet also. Without the proper gut health the assimilation of the nutrients that individuals need for optimal health is diminished drastically. I actually was very impressed with this book and exactly how it was simplified so that a common person such as myself understood the wisdom it imparts. Would I recommend this guide to other people? Sure I would including family and friends.. I absolutely think this is excellent book. All views are my own and they are not influenced by anyone but myself.
